24 HOUR / Petra Collins
24 HOUR / Petra Collins is a small publication that studies Petra Collins’ work and the themes
behind her photographic practice. The booklet highlights Collins’ exploration of the female gaze, emotional intensity,
and the collaborative process she builds with her subjects.
Using imagery from her 2016 series—marked by vibrant lighting, close-up portraits,
and raw emotional expression—the publication examines how Collins reclaims labels like “psycho,” challenging the ways
women’s emotions are dismissed or controlled. The layout combines soft pacing, white space,
and direct excerpts to reflect the dreamlike, vulnerable, and sometimes violent atmosphere found in her work.
